The Forming of CMAT:

            Founded in 1978, the Custodial Management Association of
           Texas (CMAT) is a statewide, non-profit, professional organization
           made up of nearly 100 members,spanning over 50 organizations and
           institutions. We are dedicated to providing management personnel of “in-
           house” custodial and building services and vendors an organization
           committed to improving the standards of environmental sanitation in the
           field of Custodial Services Management. Through educational forums,
           seminars, workshops and trade shows we bring the latest in continuing
           strategic resources, state level concerns, technical information and the
           tools you'll need to get started and succeed in your professional career.

     Wayne Mack, President of CMAT, is
     the Director of Building Custodial Services for
     Montgomery County, he started out as a night
     shift custodian in 1986 and has been Director
     for 11 years.

     We all here on the board of CMAT look forward
     to a year full of new ideas, growth, and new
     frienships.

To describe this years 30th Annual CMAT
Conference as "great" or "awesome" seems so
inadequate. From our first opening and welcoming speaker Senator Ken Armbrister
of the Governor's office to the last speaker on Friday and "Full Steam Head " Mr. Greg Lookabaugh. It was the best CMAT Conference
yet. I look forward to the next 30 years being even greater and everyone left saying" I LOVE CMAT!!!!".
